Change of scenery

Yesterday I retrieved my two easels from my parent's house. I have 2 tabletop easels, but I don't take it outside very often. After setting up both of them I started sketching in pastels, which you can see here. The larger easel on the left was made for me by my Grandfather, who was a carpenter. At some point during my teenage years I painted on the front of it "Ars longa. Vita brevis," which translates from latin: Art is long, life is short. (If it means something else - send me an email stat!)

OK, so you know the old pair of jeans that are just shredded with love? Behold: the old jean watch. This actually started with the watch face itself. It was just silver, so I popped it out and painted it. And seeing how I didn't want a ribbon, beaded, or leather band... jeans are the solution.
